PyungHwa Industrial Receives the Presidential Citation for Distinguished Service in Industrial Accident Prevention (Hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor)

PyungHwa Industrial Co., Ltd. has been awarded the Presidential Citation in recognition of its distinguished contributions to industrial accident prevention, affirming its achievements in establishing a self-regulatory prevention system and creating a safe workplace. The award ceremony, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, was held on Monday, July 7, at Exhibition Hall 2 of KINTEX in Ilsan. The commendation was presented to exemplary workplaces that demonstrated outstanding efforts in building proactive, self-regulatory safety management systems and fostering safe and healthy working environments. The Industrial Accident Prevention Merit Awards recognize contributors from diverse sectors, including employers, employees, organizations, and academia. This year, a total of 112 recipients were selected, comprising four medal recipients, four order of merit recipients, six Presidential Citation awardees, eight Prime Minister’s Citation recipients, and ninety Ministerial Citation recipients. PyungHwa Industrial has continuously enhanced its industrial accident prevention standards by establishing a proactive risk management framework and reinforcing field-oriented safety and health activities. The company has consistently prioritized employee safety and well-being as its core management value. This Presidential Citation represents meaningful external recognition of the company’s sustained efforts. PyungHwa Industrial Receives Minister’s Award (Gold Prize) in the Win-Win Cooperation Quality Control Circle Category

On November 20, 2024, at the Win-Win Cooperation Quality Control Circle Awards hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, PyungHwa Industrial was honored with the Minister’s Award (Gold Prize). ▶ Award OverviewThis award recognizes outstanding quality control circles in industrial workplaces that have contributed to quality improvement through voluntary employee-led initiatives. These activities include cost reduction, quality enhancement, productivity improvement, and customer satisfaction advancement. The program aims to discover and commend exemplary teams whose autonomous improvement efforts have led to measurable performance gains and strengthened industrial competitiveness. ▶ Selection Criteria1. First Round – Regional CompetitionThe team must achieve the highest score within its respective category. 2. PyungHwa Industrial Recognized for Excellence in the Supply Price Linkage System

On December 18, 2023, PyungHwa Industrial was honored as an Outstanding Company in Price Adjustment Performance under the Supply Price Linkage System.Among 10,154 participating companies in the subcontract payment linkage initiative, 16 companies were selected as exemplary performers in implementing the linkage system, and six of them—including PyungHwa Industrial—received official commendations for outstanding price adjustment results.In particular, PyungHwa Industrial established an internal computerized system designed to automatically reflect fluctuations in raw material prices into component pricing. The company also voluntarily entered into material price linkage agreements with 51 partner suppliers, demonstrating strong compliance with the Fair Trade Agreement Implementation Evaluation standards.Through exemplary execution of the linkage system, PyungHwa Industrial was recognized for contributing to the establishment of a fair and transparent transaction culture between large enterprises and small- and medium-sized partners.▶ Selection Criteria Companies that submitted their 2023 performance records were evaluated and selected for commendation based on assessment results. On April 11, 2023, under the “Outstanding New Technology Products and Technological Innovation Achievements” category hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, PyungHwa Industrial and PyungHwa Oil Seal were honored with the prestigious IR52 Jang Young-sil Award. PyungHwa Industrial received the award for its development of a Smart Garage-Controlled Multi-Chamber Air Suspension System, an advanced suspension solution designed to enhance vehicle stability and ride comfort through intelligent pressure control. PyungHwa Oil Seal was recognized for its development of an Integrated Gasket for Metallic Bipolar Plates in Hydrogen Fuel Cell Stacks, a core component technology that improves sealing reliability and durability in hydrogen fuel cell systems. ▶ Award OverviewThe IR52 Jang Young-sil Award recognizes outstanding research organizations and companies that have achieved excellence in new technology product development and technological innovation. PyungHwa Industrial Receives the Presidential Citation for the National Quality Innovation Award at the National Quality Management Convention

On November 23, 2022, at the 48th National Quality Management Convention held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, PyungHwa Industrial was honored with the Presidential Citation for the National Quality Innovation Award.The convention was hosted by the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Standards Association.The National Quality Innovation Award recognizes companies that demonstrate outstanding achievements in quality innovation across key areas such as customer satisfaction, Fourth Industrial Revolution initiatives, carbon neutrality, and ESG management.This year, a total of 19 companies were selected across various categories in recognition of their excellence in advancing quality-driven innovation and sustainable management practices.

PyungHwa Industrial Selected as a World Class 300 Company

PyungHwa Industrial has been officially selected as a beneficiary of the “World Class 300 Project” and the “Global Specialized Enterprise Development Program,” initiatives designed to foster Korea’s next generation of export-driven global leaders (hereinafter referred to as World Class Companies). A total of 50 companies nationwide were selected this year, and the certificate award ceremony was held on June 10 in Seoul. Launched in 2011, the World Class 300 Project is a government-led initiative aimed at nurturing high-potential small and mid-sized enterprises into global hidden champions through collaboration among government agencies, support institutions, and private financial organizations. Candidate companies are required to submit comprehensive growth strategy roadmaps covering technology, marketing, and management innovation, and are selected through a rigorous evaluation of feasibility and growth potential. The Small and Medium Business Administration and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology organized a panel of experts from industry, academia, and research institutes to conduct a 50-day, four-stage in-depth evaluation process beginning in late April. The process included eligibility screening, sectoral evaluation, on-site due diligence and reputation verification, and a final comprehensive assessment. Selected companies are eligible to participate in dedicated and linked support programs for up to 10 years to accelerate their growth into globally competitive hidden champions. PyungHwa Industrial presented the vision “2020 NVH Global Top 5” as part of its World Class 300 application, targeting entry into the global top five in the anti-vibration (NVH) sector. To achieve this goal, the company established concrete performance targets, including KRW 692.7 billion in sales, a 32% direct export growth rate, and a 36% export ratio. During the evaluation process, PyungHwa Industrial received particularly strong recognition for the growth potential of its five future strategic technologies. These five new growth areas include four advanced anti-vibration technologies—Active Mounts, Active Dampers, Air Suspension, and Airless Tires—as well as Extruded Silicone Hoses in the hose division. The company presented a comprehensive growth plan outlining its current technological capabilities, future R&D objectives, expected performance benefits, and global marketing strategies, earning high praise from the evaluation committee. Notably, during the on-site inspection, evaluators were given the opportunity to experience firsthand a vehicle equipped with the company’s Active Mount technology. The live demonstration reinforced confidence in the feasibility of the company’s vision and growth roadmap. At the certificate award ceremony, President Kim Dong-kwan stated in an interview that he was grateful for the opportunity to challenge global markets as a representative high-potential company of Korea and expressed his commitment to achieving PyungHwa Industrial’s vision and strategic goals at the earliest possible time. Among the 50 companies selected nationwide in 2016, five were based in Daegu, including PyungHwa Industrial, Korea OSG, Daesung Hi-Tech, Dijen, and TSR.
