Pyunghwa Industrial, a specialized automotive parts company, has been selected as an exhibiting company for the 7th Special Exhibition on the History of Industrial Science and Technology, ‘Driving the Future,’ at the National Daegu Science Museum. The company will showcase engine mounts, air suspension systems, and prototypes related to the transition of the robotics industry to artificial intelligence (AI).
Pyunghwa Industrial announced on the 8th that it is participating in the special exhibition at the National Daegu Science Museum as a company representing Daegu’s automotive parts industry, introducing major automotive parts and technologies related to future industries.
The special exhibition was organized to highlight the companies and technologies that have led Daegu’s automotive industry. Each year, an automotive-related company in the region is selected to introduce its major products and technologies, and this year, Pyunghwa Industrial was selected. The exhibition opened at 2 p.m. on the day of the announcement and will run for approximately 139 days.
Zone 4 of the exhibition focuses on Pyunghwa Industrial’s products and technologies. Pyunghwa Industrial will exhibit engine mounts, air suspension systems that were developed for the first time in Korea and received the Jang Yeong-sil Award, as well as prototypes related to the transition of the robotics industry to AI.
Through these exhibits, the company will also introduce the technological progression from existing automotive parts technologies to future industries such as robotics and AI.
‘Driving the Future’ is organized around themes including the automotive industry and engine science, Daegu’s traditional industries, and the people who made automobiles. The exhibition introduces the development of Korea’s automotive industry through materials related to the ‘Pony 2,’ which continues the lineage of Korea’s first indigenous model, the ‘Alpha Engine,’ the first independently developed automobile engine in Korea, and Daegu’s automotive parts industry.
The exhibition also covers the transition toward future automotive technologies such as electrification, AI, and autonomous driving.
A Pyunghwa Industrial official said, “This special exhibition provides an opportunity to introduce not only the automotive parts technologies that Pyunghwa Industrial has accumulated, but also our technological capabilities as we expand into future industries such as robotics and AI. We expect that it will contribute to promoting the development process and future growth potential of Daegu’s automotive parts industry.”
