Vacuum Hose

This hose is connected between the intake manifold and the brake booster to transmit the vacuum (negative pressure) essential for enhancing the braking system's stopping power.
As a critical safety component, it amplifies the driver's brake pedal pressure, allowing for powerful braking performance with minimal effort.

Function
  • The VACUUM HOSE transmits the vacuum generated within the engine to the vacuum booster, increasing the braking pressure.
  • By utilizing rubber materials, it reduces noise and vibration, thereby contributing to the improvement of NVH performance
Structure

Inner Rubber + Reinforcement + Outer Rubber

Material
  • NBR
  • CSM
  • P-EPDM
Dimensions

Inner Diameter (I.D.): Φ9.5

Features
  • Perfect Airtightness and Backflow Prevention

To maintain a stable vacuum in the brake booster, both internal and external check valves can be applied. This effectively blocks vacuum backflow, ensuring prompt and consistent braking performance regardless of driving conditions.

  • High Pressure Resistance and Durability

The hose is designed with a triple-layer structure (Inner Rubber – Reinforcement – Outer Rubber) to withstand vacuum retention requirements, engine room pressure fluctuations, and constant vibrations. High-strength reinforcement prevents hose deformation and damage, providing long-term durability in various operating environments.

  • Optimal Material Selection

We utilize special rubber materials suitable for vacuum retention, such as NBR (Nitrile Rubber), CSM (Chlorosulphonated Polyethylene), and P-EPDM (High-Performance EPDM). Based on excellent oil and weather resistance, these materials maintain stable performance even in harsh engine room conditions.

PyungHwa Advantages
  • Through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), we can accurately predict and verify the loads applied to the vehicle body during engine operation and potential hose sagging caused by temperature changes in the engine compartment.
  • In cases of insufficient negative pressure, we offer customized designs to connect air intakes, intake manifolds, and vacuum pumps using a vacuum intensifier.
